Poem #42

Everything

Everything I needed

was found inside of me

Everything I wanted

lay right at my feet

Everything I desired

was right here all along

Everything I lacked

was never truly gone

Everything I was

was never set aside

Everything I am

still remains inside

Everything I will be

was always with  me here

Everything I am not

I never had to fear.

Peering at the outside

I forgot what was within

            hopes and dreams

                        and love extreme

I need not seek again.

I have Everything.

He said, "Why should I tarry?"

And smiled with tranquil eye;

"In destinies sad or merry,

True men can but try."
