Poem # 47

Love undefiled

A child’s love is always strong

In summers short

And winters long

A love that’s pure and undefiled

Their trusting eyes

And little smiles

Someone we see in all they do

In them we find

Ourselves renewed

A chance to live our lives thru them

Our hopes and dreams

Revived again

So nurture, care, instill inside

A faith and love

They’ll never hide

And grow to show in all they do

A father’s love

With hope embued

He said, "Why should I tarry?"

And smiled with tranquil eye;

"In destinies sad or merry,

True men can but try."

Sir Gawain and the Green Knight
