Poem # 60

awakening

stars ripple across

the canopy of

mind’s consciousness

a billion billion points

of brilliant light

illuminating the soul

awareness awakened

unsleeping slumber

never more

as the mind’s eye

sees all now

as clearly as the risen sun

the star that fuels

fiery hopes

and faith found

in knowing, in being

a fusion of body

mind and spirit

like angels leading

lost lives into the light

He said, "Why should I tarry?"

And smiled with tranquil eye;

"In destinies sad or merry,

True men can but try."

Sir Gawain and the Green Knight
