Long Goodbye

It's ok to say goodbye

it's ok to let love die

it's ok to shun the past

it's ok to say our last

it's ok to let it go

it's ok to stay below

it's ok to run and hide

it's ok to draw inside

it's ok to burn the bridge

it's ok to step back from the ledge

it's ok to break a heart

it's ok to make a new start

it's ok to quench the fire

it's ok to quell desire

it's ok to guard your soul

it's ok to never know

it's ok to shed a tear

it's ok to not draw near

it's ok to avert your eyes

it's ok to extemporize

it's ok to choose withdraw

it's ok to lose it all

it's ok to fold your cards

it's ok to keep your guard

it's ok to silence the dream

it's ok to dam heart's stream

it's ok to end the play

it's ok to pull away

it's ok to break a heart

it's ok to break apart

it's ok to turn your head

it's ok to pretend it's dead

it's ok to lose a friend

it's ok to let it end

it's ok to just ignore

it's ok to not implore

it's ok to never call

it's ok to end it all

it's ok to shut it off

it's ok to be aloof

it's ok to snuff the flame

it's ok to quit the game

it's ok to just pretend

it's ok to never send

it's ok to simply resign

it's ok to draw the line

it's ok to walk away

it's ok to leave today

it's ok to just concede

it's ok to kill the seed

it's ok to turn the page

it's ok to disengage

it's ok to turn and flee

it's ok to disregard me

it's ok to make retreat

it's ok to no ignominy

it's ok to disappear

it's ok to turn a deaf ear

it's ok to bid adieu

it's ok to just rest too

it's ok to take their advice

it's ok to not think twice

it's ok to close your heart

it's ok to draw apart

it's ok to never know

it's ok to let love go

it's ok to leave today

it's ok to sail away

it's ok to break and run

it's ok to shade the sun

it's ok to cut the line

it's ok to never be mine

it's ok to not look back

it's ok to leave and pack

it's ok to let it be

it's ok to silence me

it's ok to shut me out

it's ok to adhere to doubt

it's ok to close your eyes

it's ok to let love die

it's ok to say no more

it's ok to close this door

it's ok to grieve and mourn

it's ok to be forlorn

it's ok to dim the light

it's ok to cry at night

it's ok to feel the pain

it's ok if it keeps you sane

it's ok to cut your loss

it's ok don't count the cost

it's ok 1-N, I'm sure

it's ok the motives pure

it's ok I do forgive

it's ok we learn and live

it's ok to let me go

it's ok I hope you know

it's ok I understand

it's ok I'll be a man

it's ok I'll let you fly

it's ok, my love . . . Goodbye.

He said, "Why should I tarry?"

And smiled with tranquil eye;

"In destinies sad or merry,

True men can but try."
