Poem # 29

On angel's wings

I cannot say I wasn't warned

all those months ago

You told me that you'd hurt me

though facts I just ignored

I don't know what I'll do now

should you ever return to me

Twice I've been rejected now

my heart cannot take three

Still...

Minutes turn into hours

while hours turn into days

And weeks roll by and months soon fly

and years will bring a haze

But through it all I never shall

forget you, my 1N,

who appeared to me as an angel would

then fled me once again.

He said, "Why should I tarry?"

And smiled with tranquil eye;

"In destinies sad or merry,

True men can but try."
